AeronPay E-waste Recycling Policy

Modern technology has undoubtedly enhanced the quality of our lives, but at the same time, has led to manifold problems including the problem of massive amounts of electronic waste. Such waste poses a serious threat to human health and environment. The proper management of such hazardous e-waste is therefore critical to the protection of livelihood, health and environment.


To deal with this ever-rising problem of E-Waste, the Government of India, through its Ministry of Environment and Forest, formulated the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules in 2016.

Why Recycle ?

Conserve Resources
Creation requires raw resources. But when we recycle, existing material is put to use. Recycling saves extraction of the fresh raw resources, and reuses the existing ones that are no longer in use.
Save Energy
Each time we recycle a product, it requires lesser energy than producing a new one from the scratch. The considerable savings in manufacturing time and cost is a result of skipping the usual process of extraction of raw material, its transportation, refining etc.
Prevent Pollution
Production and disposal of products requires many processes which have a large impact on the environment. By recycling, we reduce the pollution of air, water and land, thus reducing the greenhouse gas emissions contributing to global warming.

AeronPay Stands Committed To Implement The E-Waste Rules

The Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 defines “solid waste” under Rule 2(46) as

"solid waste” means and includes solid or semi-solid domestic waste, sanitary waste, commercial waste, institutional waste, catering and market waste and other non residential wastes, street sweepings, silt removed or collected from the surface drains, horticulture waste, agriculture and dairy waste, treated bio-medical waste excluding industrial waste, bio-medical waste and e-waste, battery waste, radio-active waste generated in the area under the local authorities and other entities mentioned in rule 2.

The E-Waste Management Rules, 2016 defines “e-waste” under Rule 3 (r) as

“e-waste” means electrical and electronic equipment, including solar photo-voltaic modules or panels or cells, whole or in part discarded as waste, as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes.

The E-Waste Management Rules, 2022 defines “electrical and electronic equipment” under Rule 3(j) as

“electrical and electronic equipment’ means equipment which are dependent on electric current or electro-magnetic field in order to become functional and also the equipment for the generation, transfer and measurements of the electricity.

E-Waste Management will help to preserve the ecological balance and reduce landfills. Recycling end-of-life products is vital in saving resources and minimizing waste. Don'ts For E-waste

  • The e-waste material should not be opened/dismantled by the User himself/herself, but only by an authorized service personnel.
  • The e-waste material is not meant for re-sale to any unauthorized agencies/scrap dealer
  • The e-waste material is not meant for mixing into household waste stream.
  • Do not keep any replaced spare part(s) from the e-waste material in exposed area.
